WHEELS UP WEEKLY: AIR FREIGHT
CMA CGM Expands Air Cargo Division
As capacity is continually tight, especially with Air Freight, new additions have been added to CMA CGM’s air division. These additions open up new options for shipments between the US and the Middle East. These new destinations are in Dubai, Beirut and Istanbul (FreightWaves). CMA CGM’s base for air cargo is in Belgium which will be a “transloading point for shipments between the U.S. and the new Middle East destinations.”
When will this begin?
Operations to Dubai should begin next week, May 19th, with Beirut and Istanbul beginning in the next few weeks.
How this may be an option for your upcoming and summer shipments:
CMA CGM has current air destinations including Chicago, New York, and Atlanta. If you are working on importing or exporting from the Middle East and would like to look at this new air freight lane, reach out to our team today and we be more than happy to look at this new option with you.
